I buy one of these every couple of years because my wife keeps stealing them. They don't even fit her, but she insists that the size doesn't matter. We both love these shirts because they are warm and surprisingly lightweight, almost like it's not even there. However, I find that it doesn't stay soft very long, especially if you are rough with it. My wife and I are at odds when it comes to washing strategies: I prefer soaking and a gentle spin, but she insists I forego the hardware altogether and use my hands to get the job done. I've tried telling her that her way causes shrinkage (not to mention hand cramps!), but she maintains that there's barely any change in size before and after. While I love their clothes, Patagonia has some strange shipping practices. For one, their boxes are always oversized compared to my package. I live in an area with lots of porch pirates, and I can only imagine their mouths watering when they see my package- They don't know it's basically 90% stuffing. I'm always on the lookout for solid shipping insurance, but when it comes to protection, it seems I can never find a good fit. Despite these quirks, my wife and I are always looking out for sales like this, and she always tells me to pay extra for shipping because she wants it to come as quick as possible!
